Product Overview

The optical direct reading water meter adopts a rotary wing metering structure and reads the digit wheel data through optical direct reading technology, achieving zero mechanical-to-electronic conversion error in automatic meter reading systems. It utilizes technologies such as infrared, laser, and ultrasonic to directly achieve meter reading through smart meter reading system devices and share data with networked devices.

I. Product Features

  1. High Measurement Accuracy: The optical direct reading water meter uses optical character recognition (OCR) digital listening technology to directly read the water meter digit wheel readings, achieving high-precision flow measurement.
  2. Convenient Meter Reading: Supports remote meter reading, eliminating the need for manual visits, greatly improving meter reading efficiency, and reducing meter reading errors.
  3. Long Service Life: Adopting optical sensing technology for sampling, there is no mechanical contact or movement, reducing failures due to mechanical wear and extending the service life of the water meter.
  4. Strong Anti-Interference Ability: Does not use magnetic components and is not easily interfered by external strong magnets, ensuring the stability and reliability of the water meter.
  5. Safe to Use: Uses M-BUS bus communication, with physical isolation between the strong power supply and the water meter, high insulation strength, ensuring safe use.
  6. Accurate Reading: Utilizes advanced encoding technology and position recognition algorithms to ensure accurate recognition of the digit wheel code disk readings, avoiding the problem of accurate recognition of carry-over due to mechanical desynchronization when multiple digit wheel code disks rotate simultaneously.
  7. Low Power Consumption Design: No power supply is required normally, and power is only required during meter reading or valve opening and closing, saving energy and protecting the environment.

II. Working Principle

The working principle of the optical direct reading water meter is to obtain flow information using a laser light source and stimulated reflection sensors. The laser light source illuminates the interior of the water meter, and the stimulated reflected photoelectric sensor converts the optical signal into an electrical signal, which is then converted into a digital signal by digital circuitry for data reading. At the same time, based on the calculation results, if the current flow data exceeds the range, an alarm can be displayed on the display to prompt customers to maintain, replace, and repair the water meter in a timely manner.
